Alex Brown
Partner and Founder of ABRE

Alex Brown has been working in the Central London office market for over 20 years, having gained his wealth of knowledge and experience in both large practices (he was a Director at CBRE for a number of years) and specialist niche practices where client relationships are key (he was an Associate Director at Crossland Otter Hunt for many years and a Partner at dohertybaines).

His broad range of commercial real estate experience, ranges from the acquisition and disposal of small office suites from 1,000 sq ft, to that of large campaigns in excess of 100,000 sq ft on behalf of large corporates.

Alex not only understands the financial and legal intricacies of complex real estate transactions, but also the emotional nature of each deal, which usually plays a pivitol role somewhere along the line.

Acting for both landlords and occupiers, the key ingredients for Alex are clear lines of communication and offering a highly personalised, high quality service. Identifying the client's needs and agreeing an appropriate strategy to achieve the required results.

"Some of our competitors emphasise the fact that they only act for occupiers – I disagree with that approach. Of great benefit to any client, is that we have a wide and diverse client base, both Landlords and occupiers and we therefore have far wider market coverage and access to key individuals. This diversity can only be of benefit to clients".

Alex is a regular attendee and speaker at industry conferences, having been Chairman of the West End Office Agents Society in London for three consecutive years and recently speaking at conferences in Toronto and Chicago, strengthening ties between North America the UK and Europe, encouraging a better understanding of how each very different market operates.

"One has to embrace the fact that the property market is now a truly global community and I am genuinely on call 24 hours a day if needed and at weekends, as there are clients that need advice across the globe at any given time, in any different time zone".
